About Living Legacies
Born from the idea that not all land should farmed, we set out for a way to restore Natural Habitat in the Midwest. Agriculture drives midwestern economies but its growth has also led to the downfall of natural habitat.
In order to help this environmental toll we are seeking a new way to assist local landowners and conservation groups with conservation in our communites all across the country.
In looking at options to help us make restoration possible we found that the memorial tree market is broken. Our competitors simply take your money and throw it into a huge tree planting fund and they simply they saiy they plant so many trees a year. You have no clue whether your tree was actually planted or where. We seek to provide actual value to our customers by giving them a tree and grassland recognizeable in their community to cherish for years to come.
To provide the best long term effects of our efforts we work with county conservation districts, larger conservation groups, and local landowners to create specific tree and grassland plans. These plans are designed to create natural habitat that will be sustainable well beyond our lifetime. We hope you will join us in honoring a loved one, event, or memory, through either planting a tree and help with nature conservation along the way.

We are owned by a 6th generation midwestern farm family and we hold the same midwestern farm values our country was built on. We work hard to not only feed the country but are now working hard to minimize the negative impact farming can have.
